Editing Guidelines

For how to edit a wiki, go to General Formatting.

On this wiki, you don't have to worry about highlighting changes in your color, underlining additions, or striking out deletions. MediaWiki (this software) keeps track of all of the changes, along with who made them. Check out the "history" tab.

Also, if you want to have a discussion about a section on any page, start a new thread using the "history" tab. I.E.: If you don't think a section is worded correctly but don't want to change it or don't know what to change it to, click the "discussion" tab and start typing.

New Users

For UMN students: make a new user account using your UMN username. Don't worry about filling in your "real name" right away, you can do that later (once you've registered, the link my preferences show show up in the top right somewhere).
